Each class takes one specific tango as a starting point to discover, recognize, and dance different musical elements. The classes are organized in a progressive sequence, with each workshop taking us one step further.
You’ll be surprised to discover how, in tangos you already know and have heard so many times, you’ll start hearing things you had never noticed before.
We’ll train our listening through movement to expand our possibilities of interpretation, both individually and as a couple.

Marcatos | Musical phrases I | Melodic pause | Stop time
Class goals:
Learn to recognize the structure of musical phrases and the different ways the music creates a pause in the melody or stops the rhythmic foundation. We’ll explore how to bring these differences into movement and share them with our partner. We’ll also work on the difference between a musical phrase and a musical idea.

Rhythmic and melodic accentuation | Eighth notes | Melodic dialogues
Class goals:
We’ll learn to distinguish different rhythmic accents, bring eighth notes into the body, and explore different melodic dialogues and their possibilities in the dance. We’ll begin working with the possibility of dancing two musical lines at the same time.

“Campanitas” (arpeggios) | Musical bridges | Melodic contrast
Class goals:
We’ll recognize arpeggios, musical bridges, and changes of character in the melody. We’ll play with musical contrasts and explore different ways to bring them into our movement and the couple.

The importance of the stop in solos | One instrument, different roles
Class goals:
We’ll explore the stop within piano solos and learn to hear how the same instrument can play different roles within the same melody, creating different possibilities for interpretation. We’ll explore this together and also by alternating the proposal between leader and follower.

Syncopations | Rhythmic accentuation | Dynamics | Violin solo
Class goals:
We’ll work on the syncopation and rhythmic accentuation so characteristic of D’Arienzo, his dynamic changes, and the contrast between the orchestral tutti and the expression of the solo violin, deepening our exploration of legato.

Pugliese’s dynamics | From slow to fast
Class goals:
We’ll explore Pugliese’s characteristic contrasts and how to bring into the body the changes in energy, tension, and speed expressed through dynamics. Our goal will be to learn how to move from slow to fast without losing connection

Dancer and musician, graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Buenos Aires, specialized in Musical Audioperception applied to movement.
She has been teaching musicality for tango dancers worldwide for over 10 years, combining technique, musical sensitivity, and fun. She has been a Musicality Teacher at the World Tango Championship 2026 (Buenos Aires)
